cringleford homes

Cringleford is a pretty village that lies three miles south west of the centre of Norwich on the banks of the river Yare. The parish has a thousand-year history and there is evidence for habitation in this area dating back to the Bronze Age. As the population of Norwich expands and more housing is being built to meet the demand, Cringleford is the site of some much sought-after modern suburban housing. It’s a lovely area – combining city convenience with countryside pace of life – here are some of the reasons its so popular.

Property

Thanks to a recent spate of housing development, there are lots of modern properties available in Cringleford – making the village an attractive choice for people who want the convenience of modern living. We often find that tenants who have moved from a Victorian terrace in the city centre to a new-build property in the suburbs are shocked by how much cheaper their energy bills are.

Community

Cringleford has an active community life centred around the church of St Peter’s. Check out the CringlefordHub website for details of regular activities and special events coming up in the village.

Location

Cringleford is the perfect middle ground for those who want access to both city and countryside. There are regular bus services running between Cringleford and Norwich City Centre. It’s a pleasant walk along the river to the University of East Anglia and the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts. There’s a large Waitrose in neighbouring Eaton – a village that also boasts two pubs.

Schools

Encouraging news for parents of young children: Cringleford CE VA Primary School was awarded ‘Outstanding’ in every category at its last Ofsted inspection in February 2017. They currently have over 350 pupils between 4 and 11 enrolled and there is also a Playgroup for younger children on the school site.
